Keeping your Discord account secure

Your tip.cc funds are only as safe as your Discord account is. It's recommended to take extra security steps, like enabling two-factor authentication on your Discord account.

How to set up two-factor authentication on Discord?

Two-factor authentication, or 2FA for short, adds an extra layer of security to your Discord account. Think of it as a second, one-time password, that's generated on your phone every time you need to log in.

How do I set up 2FA?

  1. Click on the ⚙️ cog icon in the lower left corner of your Discord app, right next to your username.
  2. Go to the "My account" page, which should open by default.
  3. Under the Password and authentication section, click Enable two-factor auth.
  4. Using an authenticator app, follow the steps given by Discord.
